Mike Tyson, the world’s most famous boxing champion, has just announced that his own personal record player table will be made available to the public for free in a bid to boost public interest in the sport.
In a statement, Tyson explained that the table was designed to allow people to “find their own place in history” and highlight “the important work of the world record holder.”
“The Mike Tyson Record Player has become one of the most sought-after pieces of memorabilia and art of the 21st century,” he said.
“As a result of this, we have been working hard to make it available for anyone to use in any way that they see fit.”
The Mike Tysons Record Player, created in 2003 and released in 2018, features an eight-inch, 11-inch and a 17-inch LCD display, a built-in microphone and an 8GB hard drive.
The table has been in the collection of the Tyson Museum since 1999.
Tyson was a three-time heavyweight champion and a five-time world boxing champion before retiring in 2010.
His record includes 1,631 wins, 2,527 losses and one no-contest victory.
