Dillon Danas had his second goal of the season on Friday in the second period, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to help the St. Louis Blues defeat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in overtime at Joe Louis Arena.
Danis had a chance to score the game’s only goal in the first period when the Blues were down 1-0, but the puck deflected off the stick of Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek and into the net.
Danes scored his first NHL hat trick on Saturday with his second career goal.
The Blues outshot the Red Wings 34-21 in the third period.
Danas had a hat trick in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs when he had a goal and an assist.
Danys goal, the first of his career, came on a power play in the fourth period and tied the game at 2-2.
