In an effort to keep the podcasting experience as natural as possible, The Next Google Podcasting Editor is bringing a few key features to the platform.
This post is part of our ongoing podcasting podcasting roundup.
The new Podcasting Settings app on Google Play Now is a tool that lets you manage your podcasting audio recording and editing workflow, and will soon allow you to create and edit audio files directly in the app.
In addition, a new app called The Next Podcasting is being launched that lets listeners record, edit and share their podcasts on the podcast platform.
There are also a couple of other new features to make the podcast editing experience more intuitive and useful.
First off, the app has a new tab on the right side called “Record” that allows you to add, remove and manage audio files and audio tracks.
When you first start up the app, you’ll see an “Add” button in the upper left corner of the screen, and a list of the audio files you have available in the “File List” tab.
As you browse through the list, you can click on “File” to open the “Audio File List” option, which lets you search through the available audio files in the folder to find the ones you want to add.
Once you’ve found the audio file you want, click the “Add To” button to add it to the list.
Then, you’re able to “Remove” the audio and add it back to the “New Audio” section of the list in the right sidebar of the app as well.
You can then click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to save the audio to your computer for future use.
Finally, if you want an audio file that you’ve already recorded to an audio card, click on “Play” on the audio card icon on the upper right side of the card, then select “File and save to disk.”
If you’re looking for a new audio file, it will open in a new window on the card as well, and you can choose where to save it.
This is one area that’s always been lacking on the Google Play Music app, and it’s great to see that Google is finally starting to do something about it.
You can also record your audio in the new app directly in a playlist on your computer, so you can easily listen to your podcast with the same experience that you get with the Google Music app.
The new app is also being updated to bring new features for recording podcasts, which include: Record as many as five audio tracks at a time With the new features on offer in the podcast app, we’re hoping that the Google Podcasts team will add more useful features and improvements to the experience in the future.
We’d love to hear what you think of these new features, and we’ll keep you updated on Google’s progress in this area as well as any new additions or improvements that Google may make to the Google podcasting platform.
